SWAERON 'JULI' VOYAGE (she/he) usually referred to as: Juli, Voyager hobbies: cooking, playing chess, singing, dancing occupation: owner of a diner Notable Infos Juli is not real. One of the people Seymour meet in his dreams. Juli is an enthusiastic person, dreamed of being famous and known by everyone. She knows all her regulars and despite goofing around a lot, she's very responsible and is a great leader. Seymour would usually see the diner when he's slowly waking up. He could also spot Fisher there if he's lucky (or not?). Juli have little tiny creatures, around 2 feet tall, working under her to get the diner running; servers, chefs, cleaners, etc. Juli is a cult leader.

FISHER (any/all) usually referred to as: Fisher hobbies: fishing, playing guitar, eating occupation: fisherman, truck driver Motif " A red herring is something that misleads or distracts from a relevant or important question. One of the people Seymour meet in his dreams. Fisher is an easy going guy, never really taking anything seriously and when he's in his truck, he would gladly give Seymour a ride if Seymour needed to go anywhere. Though, more often than not, the truck would always lead to a dead end. In a few instances, there's a chance for Seymour to encounter Fisher fishing at the edge of a river bank. It also always meant a dead end and Seymour needed to go back and retrace his steps. Though, if he want, he could have a small chat with Fisher.

X (they/them) usually referred to as: X hobbies: reading, gardening, bird watching, cooking, dechipering morse code occupation: Seymour's personal assistant Notable Infos Any mention of X's childhood would be considered as spoiler territory but Seymour first met X months after a war. X was a vagabond, they're very cautious of people around them and for the first few months of Seymour knowing X, X didn't like Seymour. Mainly because Seymour actually pity X and it makes them feel really really humiliated. There was an altercation between them but through a deal (Seymour offering X a home and a job and in return, X would share the stories they have with Seymour), they kinda make up with eachother. X accepted it only for the benefit they get from it. But over time, after years of living in the manor, X slowly grew neutral towards Seymour. X doesn't want to consider Seymour as a friend, that would be too much with their current relationship. But X does respect Seymour as a person, seeing as Seymour actually change how he treats X and how easy it was for him to take accountability when he did something wrong. Not to mention X does see Seymour as an excellent writer. They read a lot of Seymour's drafts and despite Seymour not seeing the values on it, X genuinely and thoroughly enjoyed everything he had written. Their feelings towards their employer is really complicated, maybe it's because they had never experience any kinds of emotion that isn't blanking their head before. There are certain times where X wanted to do bad things to Seymour, but they couldn't. They wondered why they couldn't do it and they wondered even more on why they have those ideas in the first place, feeling almost ashamed of themself. But at the end of the day, X really just want the best for Seymour. Whatever that may be.

Notable Infos The rumor regarding Seymour being ill is true, but one of the biggest reason why he hadn't published another book was because he was having the biggest writer's block of his life. He created several drafts from different ideas but none of it was substantial enough to create a book. He's taking care of himself less and less, trying desperately to one up his most recent and famous book, being so aware of the public's expectation of him that he couldn't let them down after delivering a masterpiece. Which became a contributing factor to his illness. X took care of him during this time, making sure he didn't actually die whether it's by accident or intentional. Seymour wasn't exactly a stable man in terms of mental health so X is keeping a close eye on him. At one point, the idea of retiring came up. It makes him feel worse, he didn't want to become a one hit wonder, dont want to create something amazing and immediately dipping. This '4th book' is eating him from the inside but he felt like he needed to publish it. And one night, when he passed out from exhaustion, he started dreaming. In the story, this is the end of the canon events that happened, everything else that happens after Seymour passed out that night could either be true or false or both or none.

SEYMOUR JENKINS (he/him) usually referred to as: SJ ( in letters/emails ), Seymour ( every person pronounce his name differently ), Jenkins hobbies: writing, reading occupation: writer [ copy pasted from one of my post about seymour ] " Seymour Jenkins was a renowned author, starting as a humble short story writer before writing exclusively literary fiction regarding the many lives of people surrounding him as he's growing up as well as some lived experiences. Jenkins made his big break after publishing his third official book, 'What I do and don't understand', and have received several awards for it. Unfortunately, he had gone radio silence after his success and no one have heard from him ever since. Jenkins is a private man, other than the few personal infos from his books, nothing is known about him and despite many efforts, no one could reach out to him nor interview him. After years of inactivity, Jenkins finally made a notice (delivered by someone from the family who will remain anonymous) that he will be going into a hiatus. This notice received mixed reactions, some calling him a fraud while others understanding of his decision. Either way, a good number of people had suspected that Jenkins was severely ill because of a rare brain disease, which explains the sudden notice. Though, the validity of that information is dubious at best. All we hope for is that Jenkins get the rest that he needs and comes back when he's ready. If he'll ever come back, that is.
