Do you think it would be more fair to view retro-game presentation through a CRT filter to more accurately represent what people were seeing at the time?
I imagine Battle Blaze had to look better when viewed through an RF switch on a 19” Sorny.

Loved it on my Steam Deck. Assume it feels even more at home on Switch.

The thing that’s unique is the polygons are often barely shaded or even unshaded. Little to no texture covers them to give them life. Like a wall with no wallpaper.

I reviewed games professionally for 8 years. I played 530 hrs of Elden Ring.
If I put it in my Top 5, that’s no small endorsement.

I haven’t played Lies. Almost bought it twice this year, but held out for PS+ inclusion.
Still, Dark Souls is a top 10 game to me. And next time I make a list, Elden Ring may rank even higher.
