I worked on a game that, by the time it was cancelled, the game it was chasing had come out and failed like 3 years before.

When games became so financially focused, the amount of ignorant and unserious people grew exponentially.
Money truly brings out the worst in douchebags.

Today’s closed games are the quickie me-too cash-grabs that started dev 7 years ago.

Yesterday, we watched Magnolia for the first time. What a cast - many of which I saw perform during @pftompkins.bsky.social many variety shows.
Today, we saw Goat - which is somehow a pleasant mashup of Space Jam & Zootopia.

Can you imagine him trying to duck a thrown shoe?

Woulda sure been nice if that device had an analog stick, though. Playing 3D platformers on the d-pad is like driving a Corvette with automatic transmission.

I’ve always struggled with the passive-bumping combat style of old Ys games. Funny it’s come around a bit with Vampire Survivors.

H, I owned the NES version and it was the worst game I ever got as a kid - coulda had Baseball Stars instead, darn it.
I’m just shocked someone would emulate it on Switch and charge money, though admittedly Hydlide 3 doesn’t look awful. Will have to look it up.

I worked on W: D and everything I saw was above board.
This is much ado about nothing, IMO, cuz a prominent figure found something odd.

“Gamers” hoping games don’t succeed and studios go under and devs lose their jobs so they can be right… aren’t gamers.

Stephanie voiced her, did live-action promo videos, and she directed motion-capture via remote. (I did extensive mocap on W:D)
