Not a day goes by where I don't think about this cabinet we found at a home removals place in cornwall earlier this year..

The walnut bur ovals framing the veneer flower art is unbelievably nice. It was only ยฃ195 but I had ยฃ0 in my account and we were 7 hours from home ๐Ÿ˜ญ

The compressor is finally in.

I feel its coming together but something feels a little off for me but I dont know what...I think maybe the composition is off and its really not selling the scale/making it look sparse?

In hindsight I should have spent more time on comp and lighting in the blockout

This one was surprisingly tough to texture you'd think it just being made of a single material would make it easier but trying to get the metal to not only respond in the right way but also not look repetitive was harder than I thought ๐Ÿ˜…

I just played this, struggled in the first couple levels as I'm so used to the quake style air strafing so this setup felt odd but once I reached the levels where you unlock the bounce/ice portals the game really clicked and it felt S M O O T H

Excited to see more! also love the artstyle ๐Ÿ‘Œโค๏ธ

First 3 hours of texturing done! mostly just setting up custom base materials, making grunge passes and adding height like welds and knurling.

Hoping to finish it off with some more specific hand place/drawn details

46 meshes lowpoly'd, Unwrapped and a whole lot of baking troubleshooting later the Air compressor is ready for texturing at 13k tris!

Side note thank god for @marmoset3d.bsky.social etco 's baker. if I had to do this in substance I think I would have simple perished ๐Ÿ˜†

Finished my UVs and bake this morning before work.

Ended up having to add some extra supports on some of the cylinder just for the bake but its now 3.8k tris!

The poor little hard working abused trolley is done! Now it just needs some environmental storytelling bits that I'm planning to pile on it!

Said props are hopefully going to be a really fun modeling challenge cause of their weird shape ๐Ÿคž

My multi-layer brick material is mostly setup for vertex painting! Ive also under laid a tileable normal/AO of some metal paneling under the paint of my aircraft as it felt sparse in detailing!

Welp after multiple jokes it finally happened. Went to add to my artbook shelf and instead ended up like Sisyphus trying to hold up my shelf while I waited for help as it started to buckle under the shear weight of amazing art ๐Ÿ˜…
