Making silly art and sparking some joy. Creativity is resistance. Reminding myself of that everyday. Keep making art, keep writing, keep creating. It’s how we stay alive and human and keep choosing hope.

Denver Health did this too. I understand fear of losing funding & the impact of that, AND I’m very disappointed by so many reactive policies happening & not fighting back especially when a number of orders have been rescinded or are being contested. Ending/limiting gender affirming ends trans lives.

I would like to banish the idea that it's bad for creatives to want to be paid for our work--that if we're not doing it for love or scholarship or for posterity or out of sheer joy, we're selling out.

if you’re cis, don’t offer trans people meaningless platitudes. instead:
- pay for someone’s HRT
- help a trans person find employment and housing
- donate to local trans organizations
- contact your reps and demand non-compliance with policies targeting trans people
- *listen* to us

Rode my bike for the first time in almost 2 months and damn did I miss her. The world is so dark and I feel so challenged to experience hope or joy right now. Moving my body, riding my bike, helping a friend, all made me feel alive in a way I’ve been missing amidst all the fear and unknown.
