In 1993 each church met one weekend per month. Members would visit other Old Regular Baptist churches on the Sundays their home churches weren’t meeting.

The photograph depicts a large hornets' nest suspended in a tree. The nest has been carefully wrapped but is now, in early November, quite abandoned. How long it lasted after that is anyone's guess. Perhaps not through the following winter. It is unlikely to be still there. However, hornets often return to the same site to build a nest. Possibly they are building one there now. Photo in 2014, Santa Fe, New Mexico, by Jeff Titon. Exposure data not recorded.

I’m hopeful that this won’t happen in Maine, the largest and most rural state in New England. As Maine Public President Schneider said, Maine is fortunate to have strong $ support from its member base along with corporate support.

Our public radio and TV stations would be very hard hit by budget cuts slated for NPR, PBS, and community radio, unless our Senators in Congress vote to restore those funds in the rescission bill, now. Time is very short. I've contacted my Senators. Will you contact yours?

Often the negative reviewers criticize the article for not writing the article they would have written on the subject, instead of engaging with the article under review.

Though I am old with wandering
Through hollow lands and hilly lands
I will find out where she has gone,
And kiss her lips, & take her hands;
And walk among long dappled grass,
And pluck till time & times are done
The silver apples of the moon,
The golden apples of the sun.

Statement from Katherine Maher, NPR President and CEO: The House voted to claw back Federal funding intended for public broadcasters around the country

β€œIf rescission passes and local stations go dark, millions of Americans will no longer have access to locally owned, independent, nonprofit media and will bear the risk of living in a news desert, missing their emergency alerts, and hearing silence…”
