Time for my two-year chop, and donation to @littleprincesses.bsky.social
I've learnt it costs Β£700 to make a wig, if anyone would like to donate (directly, I don't have a fundraising page), contributions welcome: www.littleprincesses.org.uk/donate-money
I keep seeing this being recommended! I'm partway through the Red Rising series (again I saw it being recommended a lot), but my local libraries don't have some of the books, so I might pause on RR and try DCC series
22.02.2026 15:52 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks Josh! I've actually been doing it part-time for a few months, but taking the plunge and making it full-time this spring. It was a difficult decision as I do love working at LRWT.

Which means my job at LRWT is now up for grabs, and better yet, it's full-time! You can take what I've been doing there part-time and grow it even further.
Any questions about the role, please e-mail rkeilty@lrwt.org.uk
Deadline is 1 March, so if you're interested, get your application in asap!
Oh hey, it's my job! π±
Don't worry, Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Trust isn't not booting me out - I'm transferring to a full-time role at @wildlifebcn.org
Thank you for sharing π

16.02.2026 10:03 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've already had comments about areas missing from our book π We were concentrating on green spaces around 20 cities/hubs, so inevitably large areas of the country weren't covered. If it sells well, perhaps an expanded edition in the future? π€

The book cover for Where to Watch Wildlife in Britain by Low-carbon Transport by Megan Shersby, Heather Devey, Rebecca Gibson and Dan Rouse
This is your reminder that my book is coming out soon!!
Great for anyone looking for some low-carbon wildlife watching inspiration, with more than 100 sites covered in/near 20 hubs (mostly cities but not all).
Doesn't everyone have a fungi life list??

Right, so I knew about cuckoo #bumblebees and how interesting they are, but today I read that sometimes other bumblebees can be intraspecific parasites??
I am INTRIGUED. Got out my New Nat Bumblebees, but it didn't have much detail before it moved onto cuckoo bumblebees. I need to know more!!
