FYI, this argument is targeted towards people who prioritize greed over people.
If we all want to improve our 401k, shouldn't GDP vote over LAND?
Personally, I think it makes more sense for people to vote in a democracy.
Why is LAND voting when GDP could?

FOSS (free and open source software) needs to run locally on hardware you own.
We are NEVER completely Free (libre) on cloud hardware.
If the US were to have a 'Trust Buster' or 'Monopoly Buster' government form between the President, SCOTUS, and Congress -- then AI and Tech might not only grow larger faster, but you'd have less hegemonic control and restriction on the marketplace.
The innovation dynamic would move horizontally.
An interesting point about Photonics is that NO ONE owns the space yet. So competitors to NVIDIA, AMD, & Intel are still a potential option, however, like the web --- NVIDIA, Google, Apple, AMD, Intel, etc...
are likely too large to allow an upstart company to grow to a $1T Scale, before buyout.
Photonics + Chiplets mean you can seperate your chiplets by a greater distance, improving thermals, and improving chip on board scalability. Pumping 600W into 1-4 square inches has it's limits.
Fiber Optics and Photonics could allow for SLI again.
I was at a demo for Intel, where they live showed off Photonics, and Chiplets on glass.
AMD is only using Chiplets for CPUs.
**NO ONE** IS USING Chiplets for GPUs or Neural Accelerators.
There is a lot of performance and cost reduction on the table in the transition to chiplets for GPUs.
While this may be true, it creates a "haves and have-nots" situation. For decades consumers were able to obtain the latest technology. SPARC workstations, Sun Microsystems, etc... were only useful for professional apps.
However now, every ounce of parallel compute is targeting crypto or AI.
So, when do we start paying the US employees again?

Photonics, Carbon Chips, Glass Substrate, Chiplets, Manufacturing Scaling up in the US.
I don't see a 10x or 100x oversupply opportunity. Do you?
I don't see hardware divergence as a likely outcome or opportunity. Why would Orgs seeking maximum profit make hardware that doesn't maximize profit?
The only solution seems to be some manufacturing leap that can oversupply the market again.
Assume, for a second, that AI isn't a bubble - constant or expanding growth.

Congress needs to improve its brand, especially those "fighting FOR the PEOPLE."
We can further rebate 1st $5 million in sales taxes paid. To avoid double taxation and to help small businesses have a slight advantage over large companies.
17.10.2025 15:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0We can segment THING Revenue & Wage Revenue using a simple trick: tax ALL Corporate Revenue. No loopholes, no deductions, just all Revenue less wages. If we tax Revenue Corps can't cheat & avoid taxes, & by rebating American wages, we encourage hiring new people -- spending more on wages.
17.10.2025 15:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Alaska gets a dividend from Oil Revenue that it shares with everyone in Alaska. Alaska is a conservative state, but everyone gets a share of the Oil Revenue as a dividend.
Imagine if AI, Automation, Robots, & THINGS-making-money generated wealth for all Americans, creating a dividend for everyone.
Flipping the tax code like this dismantles HUGE arguments against social services and might create an opportunity to realign with Congress on 'fighting for the people.'
This remaps the debate not as 'people' against 'people' (haves & have nots), but People vs. THINGS.
Employment taxes cover SSN, Medicare, Medicaid, etc., & some people are bitter about paying out of their earning potential for other people.
However, if THINGS are paying this tax, then it's not people paying for these things, but AI, Automation, & money making money.
Companies spend up to 150% of someone's salary/wage to cover benefits and taxes.
If we discount employment taxes, making American wages cheaper, we promote hiring & we can make up the difference or expand tax revenue through taxes on THINGS like Companies, AI, Robots, etc...
@aoc.bsky.social
Now would be a fantastic way to propose big cuts, & new taxes to reopen the government.
My suggestion is to Reduce Employment Taxes through new taxes on AI and Automation. There is a simple way to tax AI -- Tax all corporate revenue and rebate W-2, W-4, and wages in America.
