The shift from "sir this is a Wendy's" to "just put the fries in the bag" indicates a cultural rightward shift; whereas the former is making fun of someone by implying they're a customer doing too much, the latter is making fun of someone by implying they're a *worker* & should know their place

To state what should be obvious but I'll bet isn't to everyone who watches this...

This is what the thought process of a racist who cannot possibly allow themselves to think they're a racist looks like. This is how they rationalize their behavior and deflect from cognitive dissonance.

I think to myself, “I’ve done it.”

Hunger is very much lauded by the hustle culture. Passion is very much weaponized by the creative industry.

But I think more of what we’re missing is self-satisfaction. Pat yourself on the back. It’s hard enough out there.

There’s one thing I do to stave off the hedonistic treadmill of content creation and that is keeping my standards the same across all of my videos for what kind of engagement I wanna see.

They range from numbers to types of comments but so long as I’m hitting the very baseline of my engagement

I wish people would stop platforming people who don’t deserve a platform. Yes, making content about it is free advertisement and clout farming.

Wish we didn’t have to live through this weird scarcity mindset era where everyone believes that someone will make content about it so they might as well.

Long form fills a different need for me but I still do want eyes on the projects that I create. And I’m not one of those guys who create a video essay and gets a million views.

I wish that TikTok wasn’t as volatile as it was because creating long videos for TikTok has actually massively helped me with my perfectionism.

I film video and video goes out. As much as I love the longform process, it is very bogged down and the fear of my 4 month project flopping is too real.

Whenever I need to film a longform video I put to use that advice of people saying you can tell yourself you can leave whenever you go to the gym but you have to go there first.

So I put on my makeup and nails. Set up my clunky ass teleprompter. Set up my camera.

The whole vshojo shit with Ironmouse is unreal. Not only is stealing from charity already evil. But targeting someone who is chronically ill and making her go through litigation and putting that stress on her is something else. I hope this gets resolved quickly and she can focus on herself again.
