How do we use these in the archives?

Polyethylene foam noodles are mostly chemically inert. We cut them to size and put them in archival boxes to prevent shifting of contents!

Jones Memorial Library is at the Amherst County Fair today (Saturday) from 12pm-6pm.

Stop by our booth to visit with staff and learn about the free resources available at the library to find your family's history.

You can also learn more about our Memory Lab, which will open in 2026.

We had a great visit by the Nelson County (VA) genealogy group yesterday.

Guests had an intro to the library's history and a special tour of the collection stacks to learn about materials that can help trace roots and ancestral connections.
