Apologies for understanding political strategy I guess πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. She will have a very hard time with the Hispanic voters. That’s not an opinion - the Rs have already made public statements about attack ads and these will unfortunately be true 😬. thehill.com/homenews/med...

Maybe, but probably not Rep Crockett who has made very problematic statements about the Hispanic community - β€œSlave mentality” will be the focal point of attack ads and will be run in every single Spanish media market in Texas. Texas is 40% Hispanic. In a profile from Vanity Fair - direct quotes.

It’s mostly influencers and grifters and people with their own agendas who don’t actual live in Texas commenting the most like this. Actual Texans like me (the only ones that get to actually vote in this race) are very happy to have 2 great candidates to choose from and it gives us hope πŸ’™.

We have 2 amazing candidates to choose from πŸ’™.

Mr Webb wants Jasmine Crockett to win. That’s it.

It’s a choice between 2 great candidates πŸ’™πŸ’™. Full out support for whoever wins.

I can tell you that Texas voters are giddy over having 2 amazing candidates to choose from. We are so excited for this race and it is bringing people out to vote! Will help the down ballot races too - can flip some seats πŸ’™

And none of the people posting about this race seem to give a crap either. That’s my viewpoint as the mother of biracial/LGBTQ kids who lives in Texas and has watched hate laws being written against my children.

I voted Talarico because of his strong and unwavering support for our LGBTQ, especially transgender, kids here in a Texas. He has been a loud, unwavering advocate for these kids for years in the Texas Lege, while most Democrat politicians were throwing them under the bus for votes.

Yep he will get enough votes to cause a runoff πŸ‘.

That’s my current Texas Congressional Rep Wesley Hunt πŸ™„. He’s running in the Senate race where it’s a race to the bottom to appeal to the insane R primary voters in Texas.

Yes for a general, but Cornyn probably won’t make it through the primary. The RNC has put something like $60 million dollars backing Cornyn because Paxton is so toxic in a general and it hasn’t made a dent. He would be much harder to beat in the general.

28.02.2026 21:30 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I think it is uniting everyone - ICE terrorizing the state has energized everyone and the surge demographic voting in our Democratic primary are Hispanic Voters πŸ”₯πŸ’™.

28.02.2026 21:24 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

He won’t, he’s a RINO per our looney Rs in Texas, and especially the really batshit ones who vote in the primary. It will probably go to a runoff and Paxton will win. The Rs love Paxton here because he fights β€œwoke”.

Out of state opinions from both sides. The misinformation drives me insane.

It’s insane πŸ˜‚ The politics here is like no other state because we are so big and so diverse. Totally different campaigning depending on who is targeted. The Hispanic community is the 2nd largest voting block in Texas but you wouldn’t know that by all the noise from out of state opinions. Annoying.

Yeah that part didn’t make much sense. I’ll be so glad when this primary is over - I live here.

I’m sorry, what? Whose campaign was this, either really stupid or really inexperienced πŸ˜–.

Would you have expected Harris County to be higher than it is based on the other big city turnouts? Or we are just so big that’s it is so much harder to GOTV. I’m trying to get a handle on Harris county relative to other county turnout. We need to do better!

I think it’s #1. And she is also fond of Jasmine - no harm in that (as you said) 😊. Harris County vote I don’t think is at the levels that Crockett needs yet. Trying to get out the low voters, non-voters. Hispanic/Asian vote is up from prior years, white/black vote a little down from prior years

Did Jasmine Crockett Really Say That - The Senatorial Candidate's Views on Latinos - The Austin Independent It’s that time of year when the hopes of Texas Democrats flower, like the bluebonnets that come a few weeks later. But, like the bluebonnets, those Democratic hopes tend to get ground into the dirt by...

The Republicans will make her quotes (in the article) the centerpiece of their attack ads in a general. It will be ugly and inflammatory and work very well because she actually said this 🀯. Gives me anxiety to think about just how bad this looks.

This primary is ugly and lots of folks coming out of the woodworks who don’t live here. Jasmine will struggle here in the general with the Latino voters which make up 40% of Texas, and it’s not because of her race/gender as much as her past statements on the Latino community - Vanity Fair profile.

Thank you. I actually care more about our down-ballot Texas races more because this Senate is a long shot no matter what. Lots of pickup opportunities for Ds in the Texas Lege and Congress. And the senate race is ramping up the turnout πŸ’™.

And I like Jasmine Crockett, but her campaign is not set up for a general win. Our state is 40% Hispanic and you have to have outreach there. This is the demographic that leaned Trump in 2024 but is now leaving the R party in droves because of ICE terrorizing people. It’s a disappointing campaign.
