This is so, so horrific and sad. I’m even more angry at how it’s being spun by the media as a “dispute” with a neighbor. No. That’s not what this was. It was a hate crime. A homophobic murder during Pride Month.

New York has a higher per-capita income, a lower crime rate and a functional insurance system.

Rep. McGovern: Why are Republicans holding this hearing at 1am? Why are you trying to ram it through in the dead of night? If you're so proud to kick millions off Medicaid, rip food assistance from families, and shut down rural hospitals, why not hold this hearing at 1pm?
