I remember reading (or trying to read) the original, and despite being one of the longest pieces of media ever, it throws so many concepts at you every scene and chapter.
And there's 8k+ pages and supplimentary games/movies. I don't think it's possible to pace it right, or adapt it at all.

Well I mean the internet feels more, botted, but more reasonable than a few years ago with Twitter culture basically being dead outside of a few pockets.
Like they were coming up with a new way to call adults children every week.

Think it’s a way to pretend that everyone flips a switch at 18 because they’re worried about being accused/they like gotchas.

The prob is them trying to be educated on the net instead of a safe place like their house or schools.
