Theyre both so equally down bad for each other that they go to extreme lengths to try and be close to the other without them realizing (soap with catnip, ghost pretending to sleep on his shoulder so he can scent him)

Im just imagining ghost who already was feral over soaps scent going even more insane after he starts using catnip as colgone. Ghost wondering why he suddenly lacks all self control around him🙏

Simon starts practically grinding on him, shoving his nose into his neck and nuzzling every bare inch of skin he can get to. Soaps never been so grateful he sprayed his skin with the catnip too.
Then they fuck nasty style with ghost curling his tail around soap and scenting him👍

-reverberating in his chest. His pupils were blown wide and the tip of his tail flicked. A short whine escaped him when soap ran his fingers across the back of his head, encouraging him.
Soap eggs him on, acting confused by his behavior but making no move to stop him.

He kept leaning his head on soap's shoulder and rubbing his cheek against it while claiming he was tired, his next attempt at subtlety.
After just 3 days of spraying himself with it, simon crawled on top of him jn his bed, pressing his face into his chest and scenting him, a deep rumbling purr-

The man stood closer to soap than usual, not-so-secretly huffing him every chance he got. Back in Soap's room, he sat pressed so tightly to soap's side he was practically on top of him.

Especially when he saw the look on his lietenant's face every time he wore it.
The first day, his pupils blew up to the size of dinner plates, his chest siezing forward before he manually stopped his own instincts from taking over.

He'd like to say its the closeness suffocating him. In reality, he wishes they were even closer. He's sick of professionalism.
So, if he bought a bottle of catnip, steeped some into a tea, and sprayed himself and his clothes with it, he felt justified in his actions. -

They continue the day together on duty, in the gym, in the showers, in training. Most days, they retire back to soaps room together until curfew when ghost slips out the door and back to his own room.
The proximity is driving him insane.

Soap going batshit insane having to work so closely with the lieutenant; spending damn near every hour of the day with him. From the moment he steps out of his room his footsteps fall in line with the lieutenant and they walk together to breakfast.
