I have looked at three different web pages that report percent vaccinated by state. When the data says one state is 134% vaccinated I don't trust it. The United States is very bad about producing data related to health. I will look some more.

I am afraid I don't understand "to A/B" in your note. I am a 83 year old who had a brain infection 17 years ago that doesn't let me access all my vocabulary. I would appreciate a definition of the abbreviation and a note about the post you are referring to, I post a lot of them here.

I haven't found any national data to note where we stand compared with the rest of the world. I live in Alabama, you can see Alabama ranks 41st at 372,.5 in the data table below. I will start explaining what the position of the two far to your left dots show to teach you how to interpret this graph. The bottom age 0 dot is a blue diamond shaped dot that shows that the age 0 deaths in Rep voting states in 1999-2003 was 127% of the age 0 deaths in Dem voting states at the same time. The red square is at 145 and that tells you that in 2018-2021 the under age 1 deaths in Rep voting states was 145.1% of the same in Dem voting states. In general there are three groups that show similar patterns. While the under age 20 dots bounce around a lot all but one of the pairs, age 9, show increases in the percent the Republican states are of the Democrat voting states. From age 20 to age 35 the pattern is unique. The early data starts going up at age 20 to be joined at age 25 then at age 30 the early data starts heading down while the 2018-2021 data does that at age 35. The cause of these unusual patterns is this is the age group that starts having health care payments monopolized by capitalist health insurance. Over these ages, both times show similar increases in death rates but the later one has it happen a few years later. The lines of dots for ages 35 and up show a larger increase in death rates in Rep voting states over the same in Dem voting states. The major difference is in the earlier data the line of early dots from about age 47 to age 57 is level. In general the death rates in Rep voting states have increased more than in the Dem voting states. Anytime we walk into a fast food restaurant and see them playing FOX, I call it FAUX, on TV, go to the counter and ask to speak to the manager and say you are not ordering because anyone who plays the biggest lier on TV cannot be trusted to provide safe food.

The tested theories have different levels of empirical support. Until someone knows about how much a theory has they are not qualified to judge it. The problem in science is research conclusions only discuss these findings, not how it adds to the total. Non-scientist need it.

The bars that go above the center line show the increasing death rates and the bars that go below the center line show declining death rates from 1999 through 2919. The r's close to positive or negative 1.0's show close to the same amount of change in the same direction every year from 1999 through 2019. This ends before COVID to be easier to show what is going on. This graph shows that the capitalist health care approach to paying for health care only produced a declining death rate in the large central cities while socialist health care showed strong declining death rates at every level from large central cities to rural areas. A end note, of my over 300 graphs posted on Bluesky, this is probably the best at showing we need to move to Medicare for all. Data note: Our CIA has discontinued the table showing where we stood comparing country death rates, the last one showed the United States ranked 49th even though we spend the most for health care. Canada ranked 5th with a life expectancy 3.3 years longer than the United States while they paid close to half as much for health care as we do. A final note that is unnecessary for most of you, Republicans support Capitalist health care and Democrats the Medicare, socialist, approach.

Actually it is a religious substitute for health insurance.

The Southern Baptist church sells their own health insurance and then use prayer for health care. It makes more profits through prayers costing less than doctors and prescriptions.

Also, I have lived in rural Alabama for about 45 years so I have known people who died because they relied on prayer to cure them. Their death is worse because they died believing they were not good enough for God to cure.

Measuring state level of Southern Baptist is not easy. The one published source has bad data, frustrated I turned to the online Yellow Pages and did a search for Southern Baptist Church and at the bottom of the first page it told me how many it found. That number divided by pop/100,000 measured it!

The big factor is almost all states have state funded health care for the uninsured young. Age of lose of this varies by state but a lot of young middle aged are uninsured and among the insured health insurance companies deny care to whom, I still can't measure.

It would be equal to the death rate for 100% Southern Baptist. Or it is a statistical estimate of the total Southern Baptist effect. I actually the Southern Baptist effect actually kills more than the Southern Baptist early but I can't find data to measure it.

The root cause is praying to cure does not work! The Southern Baptist have shifted from church donations to selling health insurance that promotes praying for cures. The r between the state number of Southern Baptist churches per 100k and deaths per 100k in 2023 is 0.73.

Here is another try to explain: Alabama's age 0 death rate is 768.8 per 100,000 and New York's is 393.5. Alabama's 768.8 is 195% of New York's 393.5. The first dot on the graph is for age 0 and it is just a little below the 200 line. Hope that helps.

I have done more than 300 mortality graphs on BluSky and I have to do more complicated things to do more. The point here is that the dots show Alabama's age specific 2023 death rate as a percent of the same death rate in New York. In general as age goes up the gap gets smaller but not equal.
