Sometimes I wonder if I'm making my life harder by using a tiny brush to fill most of the painting, but I really like the texture it gives me and how in some cases you can see the underpainting between the lines.
I am thinking of finding less laborious methods that please me, though 😅 just in case
Recently I gifted an art print to my partner. They were shocked to be able to see the brush strokes, which made me realize image compression might be hiding from you all just how much cross hatching it takes to make these paintings.
Maybe I should post details from time to time.

oh come on, it's just a butt!
I even tried not giving her too big of a butt so people would focus on what really matters: her back.

06.03.2026 02:01 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I tried it a while back and it's good. I just really like CSPs brush engine.

06.03.2026 01:59 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I gave Krita a try just because I didn't want to depend on CSP exclusively. It's fine, it does the job, but Clip Studio's brush engine is still a lot more appealing for my style at the moment.

It's Xena & Callisto again, you may remember them from other such posts of mine like, 'Xena x Callisto,' & the surprise sequel, 'More Xena x Callisto,' plus more. It's the one with Xena standing over Callisto telling her to stay down and Callisto is like, "Gladly <3" y'know, classic Callisto stuff. I added a little background of GREENERY, like the threat of a fern and a whisper of some grass, stuff like that. Plus some peachy pink sky. #myart
Added a background to this Xena/Callisto piece so I could make some nice prints and I think it turned out PEACHY

Malenia, a tall muscular woman with long red hair, stands naked in shallow red lake as her soldier, Finley, in full golden armor, kneels before her. Malenia has one golden prosthetic arm and two golden prosthetic legs. Her body is full of rotten scars and golden stitches. A small blue butterfly-like creature approaches her right side. Malenia looks in its direction even though she has no eyes to see. The picture is mostly red, golden and white.

Close up of painting showing a squarish area about 25cm circled in red with hundreds of dots aka stars.
What does that actually mean?
3 hours on this...
There is no AI shortcut to this.
Large impressionist painting of a swirling orange yellow and red nebula at the bottom and upper right , some white clouds above it on a blue black background with about 25cm of tiny little bastard stars at the top
Been well over a month since I've been able to work on this due to some RSI issues with my painting hand.
About 3 hours (painting fucking stars 😐)
Space Drawing Perspective by Dongho Kim is a really good book. I already knew the theory behind perspective, but he goes on how to make it look good, which is a whole different can of worms.

I also appreciate the people here way more.
Sadly a good amount of my commission requests still find me through there.
I have very little patience for Twitter. I wish I could pay someone to copy my posts from here.

I told myself I would post some art on Twitter today for the sake of my online presence.
I forgot again. Now it's too late. PC is already turned off. Maybe tomorrow.
Book cover for Carmilla by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu. The cover depicts Carmilla leaning her head against Laura's while she embraces her, Laura doesn't shy away from Carmillas touch but seems shy to reciprocate. They're framed by a red pointed arch, a devil and an angel and some baroque ornaments.
A crop.

Not officially. The workarounds seem challenging, but each day I'm more tempted to brute force the thing.

Now this is the reply I was hoping to get!
I will try it out and see if it works.
At the end of the day if you know the fundamentals you can paint anything you want on MS Paint.

I've read mixed reports on it, mostly negative.
But maybe I should just try it out and see how it works for me. Staying on Windows just feels wrong.
If things get out of hand I might need to leave CSP, but currently it is by far the best digital art software. I'm gonna miss it a lot.

I really want to move to Linux, I have no problem with the idea of learning a new OS.
The problem is that I use Clip Studio Paint for work and it still doesn't support Linux.
