This is almost certainly why I was drawn to creating digital worlds, because of a lack of a sense of agency in moving through the real one

As I’m playing this I’m unemployed, and I’ve been trying to learn better ways to manage my dystonia and have been confronted by the mental and physical difficulties of that, it feels all too familiar

Old habits die hard

My first halo game, first played in 2009.

The same year my dystonia was emerging and was especially bad. I missed a year of school, have memories of playing this game during the middle of the day while on a cocktail of drugs

Decided to replay Halo 3 for the first time in a decade and immediately had a crazy out of body experience and brought back some serious memories

I was swimming earlier and had an idea for a game/interactive experience that would simulate what having dystonia (my disability!) feels like

Should I prototype it?

Recently I’ve been finding myself more and more drawn to and appreative of art purely for it’s calming ability

Do whatever you need to do to make you feel like yourself again.
