When Matthew Fontaine was in high school, an aptitude test suggested he was most suited to become a preacher. Instead, he sold vacuums and batteries before becoming a journeyman plumber.
“It wasn’t until I started teaching that I thought maybe the preacher thing wasn’t so far off,” he laughs.

When you're an occupational therapist (OT), there's more to occupations than employment.
Getting dressed, making a meal, working, & having fun are considered occupations.
Whether in hospitals or homes, OTs assess people's abilities and their environment to help set them up for success.
