An interesting thing. I did this painting about 16 years ago; around 2008. It’s titled “Sense of Entitlement” and a frame shop owner that took an interest in my work, bought it. He asked me to tell him about it, what the painting means to me. I said This child like figure dressed as a joker on the top of her head is representing someone who behaves like a brat child, who controls both the Republican Party and the Democratic Party as he holds both in his hands. I said the woman figure is representing a Patricarchy that he sits above and rules. Then I told him that after I finished the painting I had an extended vision, that I had wished I had painted her with the map of the world on her face instead. Or a combination of both. Anyway, I thought of this old painting today so I thought I’d share it.
