What's funny is it isn't even subtext in this case, in the episode the guy is confronted by the main cast for making bigoted implications about some group and he explicitly says the joke is that he isn't referring to any specific group and you're the bigot if you assumed he was referring to one.

Kind of funny that they fell for the joke that was explained to be on whoever actually attributed it to being about any group a couple sentences later in the episode.
