I disagree, and the public perception of "Democratic Socialism" is very much so one of social democracy. If you ask Mamdani or AOC or Bernie or Ilhan Omar or any one of those DSA politicians "What is the end goal youre striving for" the vast majority will say "What the Nordic countries have"

*Democratic Socialist, who are just more radical social democrats, i.e capitalists. Mamdani just believes in heavily regulated capitalism and free social and infrastructural services. It's still not socialism

There was 2 minor policy mentions in there and only 1 was specific, the price gouging one. The rest is centrist "unity" fluff that hasn't meant anything since the Clinton campaign. She should've focused on pushing her core policies in her ads and envigorating a base

"Promised little change in the status quo" referred to the stagnant state of the lower class in America. Kamala did not promise any significant tax increases for the rich, social program expansions, or anything to entice independents and young people. Also Kamala is pro Israel

Social democracy is not socialism. It's "nice capitalism", to which workers are still exploited and most of the exploitation is offshored to foreign countries for the sake of domestic citizens
