Notice how quickly “we want our nation to uphold Christian values” turns into “it’s not the government’s job to feed the hungry or help the poor!” which are actually things Christ taught his followers to value.

There are worse things going on, but this hurts. The people’s house, like the nation, disrespected and damaged. All for vanity and greed. How do we stop such destruction? How can we recover? How can we rebuild?

When we reestablish rule of law in the US, one of the reforms we should make is a law capping CEO compensation (salary, options, etc) as a fixed multiple of that of the lowest paid worker (employee, IC, whatever.)

If CEOs couldn’t make more than 20x the minimum pay, you’d see wages skyrocket.

He has kept among us in times of peace Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures. He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power. He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution & unacknowledged by our laws.
