02.03.2026 01:20 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0@brucedc77.bsky.social, there's some exceptional weather heading your way in the not too distant future, it looks like you'll be able to get rid of a lot of the snow! π

The little turtle π’ was moved to the shore gently on a piece of firewood, just trying not to stress it out any further.
26.02.2026 14:23 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I know we're not to interfere with nature, but this seemed like an exception. I reached out to a turtle rescue organization in Peterborough, and was happy they responded that this was acceptable as the raccoons were here around the lake because of us.

The nest of this snapping turtle hatchling (2001) had been raided by what I imagine was a hungry racoon. I moved this little one to the shoreline for a better chance of survival.

Well that's not great is it!
We got the vaccine a few years ago as it was covered under our insurance. The Mrs had it 6 years ago, it wasn't much fun. Hope you're doing ok

Itching for warmer temps and being able to sit outside. I can't control the weather (yet), so I rigged up a little tarp so I could keep out of the light snow coming down this afternoon in the Durham Region of The Great White North π¨π¦.

It's great to see venue's like Scotiabank Arena hosting an opportunity for folks to experience it in a large gathering! π

19.02.2026 14:51 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Damage control for a complete bonehead comment about Canadians who've had enough of the BS from the south. People have good memories, and this is not easily going away IMLO.

17.02.2026 20:44 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 3 π 0I think that's the best option. We might block the odd naive individual, but the majority are not to be trusted
17.02.2026 04:20 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's odd, and folks should never feel hesitant to block users who do this. Many times these accounts are deleted within a short timeframe... so I'm all for blocking them
17.02.2026 04:08 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Good advice! Most times I get these from someone I've recently followed back. I try to review an account before a follow back, but it's not always obvious.
17.02.2026 04:03 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Glad to hear it's happening!
