White Admiral butterfly 🦋

Now I know what a White Admiral butterfly and pickerel weed look like! 😁

Looking back at Aug 2024 while out for a nice evening bike 🚲 ride. Haven't gotten out for a ride in quite a while, going to change that tomorrow!

Old school bicycle bell.

I've tried the bells that have a single 'ding' and didn't find them that effective. I've put these 'old school' ratchet ring bells that folks of my generation seem to recognize more easily on my bikes. Readily available for around $20

I feel lucky to have had many field trips in public school to visit the McMichael Art Gallery. I didn't realize he was born in Claremont until I was passing through there a few years ago and noticed some info signs.

We had a 2.5 hour drive to get to the park, 20 minutes to register, 30 minutes to unload the canoe and an hour casually paddling to our camp site. We spent the next hour setting up and getting organized then the little guy says 'ok, let's go home!' 😁
A much needed nap and we were good 👍

We often remember the time a racoon wandered onto our site one and our dog Scout did everything in her power to protect us. She was hooked up to a tether line, but once around the little table with our bbq on it created a memorable moment. She was a sweet dog, still miss her 10 years gone ❤️

For someone with a sentimental side, I love these little reminders.

I love when my phone reminds me of photo memories. This was 17 years ago today at Frontenac Provincial Park. My daughter was 14, and my little guy was 3. It was only a 3 km paddle to our site on Big Salmon lake, but was a big adventure for us!
