BREAKING: GOP Rep. David Schweikert (AZ-01) isn’t running for Congress in 2026.

Arizona’s 1st was already a key swing House district. Without an incumbent, this seat becomes even more competitive and possible to flip—and Swing Left is organizing now to win.

Most of the power authoritarians have is freely given. We should not comply with them in advance.

Trump is far weaker than he looks. So is the GOP. We should draw them out, drain them at every opportunity, and fight for people’s wellbeing at every turn.

We have been sent here to fight for people.

I’d like one newspaper to try out the headline “Republicans fail to attract Democratic votes they need to end shutdown” as a little treat.

Let’s open our eyes. This isn’t a functioning democracy any longer when - in the middle of a high stakes funding fight - the President illegally suspends federal projects in states run by Democrats as a way to punish the political opposition.
