Twitch Front Page calls for a slow-paced, occasionally thoughtful 8 hour stream again, with most likely retro-ish gameplay on Oct 18.

The first time on the front page in May was a blast, and awesome to go again this soon.

OBS's Dynamic Bitrate Adjustment (Settings, Advanced, Network) might have been the key for Twitch ingest server not kicking the stream out. No issues yesterday 😮🎉

Right after I ran to these issues, I noticed, while troubleshooting, that the Helsinki server disappears from the #Twitch ingest endpoints, an endpoint I've been using for years. Let's see if it pops back up on the lists

I've not been able to stream on #Twirch this week, because the stream cuts off at random, stays up for 1-30 minutes and then disconnects for a few seconds again.

Meanwhile, streaming to YT without issues, so I can't see that it would be my computer, settings or network.

Extremely frustrating 😔

My first Twitch Front Page promotion went great and we had fun playing UFO: Enemy Unknown, "OG X-COM", on superhuman difficulty.

I hit a new record peak viewer count of 2200+ (22x-33x my normal viewership) with an awesome average of 1100 viewers.

I'll be on Twitch Front Page rotation today (May 10th) for the first time. Exciting day, so what better game to play than OG X-COM 👽

In my channel's case I would like to reach every subscriber once and make them aware that I'm still here, doing videos.

YouTube heavily emphasizes the user's recent activity, so someone who hasn't seen my videos in years probably won't, unless they specifically see them in their subscription feed.

YouTube bell notification analytics. 614 bell notifications sent, click-through rate 0.3%, views from bell notifications 2.

Reality of my YouTube channel that gained most of its 44000 subscribers back when the notification system was not implemented and never did any "hit that bell icon" call to action. Only ~620 (1.3-1.5%) of the subscribers have it on, and usually less than 5 watch my new vid from the notification

I have made my own BRB screen that plays curated (chosen by me) clips on random (order is different every time). I run ads by command during the break and I have automated all this via StreamDeck. People like this "cliptime" so much, they take their break before or after so they see all the clips

I wonder if there're stats on how many Twitch Prime subs are used/claimed per month 🤔

There's probably a lot of users who don't use their free Prime sub, at least not every month, leaving a lot of "free" support in the air that could go to streamers with a click of a button.

RogueTech - Course Correct

I played #Battletech in 2021 and I got several suggestions to play the #RogueTech mod. Now, immediately after 4 years, I'm playing RogueTech 😀 It's a massive mod and we'll probably spend a good while in it 🦾

I just started playing Door Kickers 2 full release last weekend on stream and the first video is now up on YouTube.

In this one, I go through the first 2 missions and give an introduction to the game. If you like tactical combat games, this is, imo, the best out there atm.

I would like if YouTube allowed transparent overlay for thumbnails, so we could add text, episode number, our face or whatever, but have the underlying image (autogenerated by YT) be from the video. I would love this for my Let's Play, episodic content.
