Love the color! I’ve been wanting to make one of these myself, only with four sides and a swinging gate on the front.

So my wife said I have too many projects going on (some that started months ago).

And I just felt really attacked by that. I feel like I’ve been making good progress on the cabinets, kitchen counters, bathroom refresh, 8x12 shed and at some point installing the mini split.

I just looked up to check the time and realized that I’ve worked from 5 to 5 today, plus some change.

And I’m not mad about it. I’m glad to have a job. Young Wes would have been furious on principle, because life is short. But you know what makes life even shorter?

Lack of health insurance.

In that case I propose we call it a Decent Joint. It’ll be one of those obscure meta terms.

I honestly had no idea that “additive joinery was the name of this method. I’ve seen some benches made this way and always admired them.

OH… and I am having intrusive thoughts about raising chickens.

Anyone have advice on doing this in a neighborhood? There are a couple other houses nearby that do this too, but they have huge yards.

When is too early to plan a garden?

I just ordered vegetable and herb seeds and pre-ordered berry plants for next year. I’ll be going from 6 or 7 plants to 38.

It’s quite a jump, but I think I have time to prepare by building more beds and getting an irrigation system set up ahead of time.

Agree, but it also didn’t have to be spelled out to many of us since we could put two and two together 🙁

With age, I find myself becoming more open minded about things other people do, and less so on things that involve me.

I always liked splines. I used them for these hexagon shadow box things that my wife put on our bedroom wall, only they were on the outer edge instead of inlays. (See photo)

I think I’ll try frames next like you did. Got a big collection of comic book cover art that I’ve been wanting to hang up.
