i want to get into spinning yarn, i thrifted some fiber to use but what is that spindle tool that makes it yarn? its like a long dowel with a base. anyone have a specific recommendation for a newb? #yarn #yarnspining #fiberart

today it definitely is! i just finished a big project with lots of half used skeins so it was time to wind up those and frog a project that i’m not planning on finishing. i love my yarn winder :)

Also: If you don't have money to buy my (or anyone's) books, and you live in the anglosphere, before you pirate them, try to get them from your local library instead. They have it or can get it, they pay for the books, and in many places writers get paid for their books being lent. Everyone wins!

making clothes urself is definitely better than fast fashion! i like to get yarns from thrifted sweaters or yard sales (it’s a lot cheaper too). keep in mind the small changes we can do to be more sustainable, but be happy! :)
