That kind of thing.” Vox chuckled and shook his head before suddenly spinning Inkwell around and slamming him against the edge of his desk. His claws went to the heavy metal after, trapping Inkwell as Vox got so close their bodies pressed together and the spiraling eye took up half of Ink’s vision. “That. Won’t. Work here.” Vox growled. He forced a smile up and a tense chuckle bounced out of his throat like a bowling ball down a stairwell. “We need to be clear that I’m in charge.” Inkwell closed one eye and tried to turn away on pure instinct. “I already know that, Vox.” Vox shook his head as he leaned closer. “Not like I need you to, you don’t.” He put a claw under Ink’s chin and tilted it toward his face. “The lip? Fine. Cute even. Maybe I’ve been spending too much time around Val because I’m actually finding it endearing.” His smile fell and his claw traced down over Ink’s skin before gripping around his neck. “In. Private.” He growled. Inkwell shivered and whimpered as he felt Vox’s influence creep into his head. This was different than the previous times. “In public. You’re are going to be one more shiny cog in the well-oiled machine that is Voxtek. I value reputation, Ink. It’s just another currency to spend.” His head tilted and he grinned wide. “You… are only going to rake in more of it for me.” Inkwell’s eye twitched. He nodded. Vox’s eye narrowed and he leaned the pulsing rings closer. “I didn’t hear that, Underwood.” “Yes, Mister Vox.” Inkwell said distantly.

Inkwell settles in with the Vees like a rock in a pond. Of course, Voxtek is a competitive industry. You're going to find a lot of jealous little goblins eager to disrupt the business.
