I did, at a much later time, have to have someone explain to me what everyone meant by "the birds and the bees" though.

We never really bothered with euphemisms, so despite knowing how babies were made, I was confused a lot.

The day before I started kindergarten, my mom pulled me aside in the kitchen and said "You're going to hear a lot of things from other kids that is wrong, so I'm going to explain this to you" and then drew a diagram and explained.

"Do you have questions?"
"Can I have a snack?"

And that was that.
