I'm not sure what it is about the current moment that's made them so ascendant because even growing up in a politically conservative/religious home, as a teenager I clocked pretty quickly that self-help gurus were loser shit

I did go grab cat food today so in case of a worst case scenario, Emil has food to last a while.

12 years ago I scooped up this scrungly little street kitten, and now he's a nearly 20-pound monster. Happy acquisition day Emil!

Fulfilling his 100-bite-a-day quota

Even though the old one was getting a little janky, I'm still sad about having to replace it (lid broke off when I dropped it) because it was one of the first things I bought when I moved to Chile, so at least I could have coffee and cheap ramen til I got the rest of the kitchen set up.

I dropped my full electric kettle last night (thankfully before boiling) and had to deal with cleaning up 1 1/2 liters of water right before bed 😭
(I refuse to actually buy a space heater, but a hot water bottle is ok apparently)

Oh the only reason I knew is because I started writing fic specifically because I couldn't find much if anything for a character I was looking for lol
I assumed if practically nothing existed, not that many people were looking for it

I also tend to write about characters that aren't the most popular in a given story, so I feel the lack of hits/interaction...but I kind of knew it would be like that going into it, so I try not to let it get me down
