Very cool original front cover of the textured gatefold, with groovy info sticker.
The original septet at a real peak on this often overlooked but knockout album.

not really Jazz 😎
lead vocal & bass - Peter Cetera
Needed an excuse to post this song. It's Jazzy enough for me, lots of wild horns & a killer bass line. Plus a timely message.

Five corporations control 90% of the US media market.
Airlines merged from 12 major carriers in 1980 to 4 today.
Four giants control 80% of meat processing.
The evidence of corporate consolidation is everywhere.
It means more power for them and less freedom for you.

The sprawling double disc, my favorite release of 2002, offers brand new takes on Joni classics, sung here in a lower register with gorgeous orchestral arrangements.

According to the New Yorker, Donald Trump and his family profited off the presidency by an estimated $4 billion in 2025 — mostly through shady crypto deals.
That amounts to $456,621 per hour.
But how are you doing?

Here's yer pal the Bear, at left, age 27, in August 1978, behind the counter at Mole's Record Exchange on Vine Street in Cincinnati, with my mentor, musicologist Jess Hirbe.
Only the last "N" in "SPRINGSTEEN" remained after the merciless ticket taker tore my precious ticket. The epic show was an unforgettable experience featuring several hot encores. Bruce & his band were simply fabulous, at an early peak.
