There’s something emotionally similar between driving along & realizing there’s a cybertruck in your midst as discovering while you’re swimming that somebody has taken a shit in the community pool. Just leaves you kinda nauseous and asking why anyone would do that .

But then I have also contemplated getting "NOT DEAD" tattooed on the bottom of my big toe, just to troll whoever has to deal with my dead body someday. Figure that should wait until I'm absolutely certain I'll never have a love life again, though (-:

I have considered embedding it in a string of symbols a la swearing: %@$*&;!

It isn't anything I am feeling urgent about doing something about, until something seems exactly right.

So, this is the very serious question I now pose: are there specific Pokemon that, if you got it tattooed on your lower back, you *would* consider as meeting the criteria for being perceived as a 'tramp stamp'? Or are they all exempt?

Highly subjective subject, natch.

Now, since my brain is like a ping pong ball in a tornado, I got to wondering if a Pokemon could in fact legit be considered a 'tramp stamp', since, yanno, inherently geeky?

And THEN I got to wondering if some Pokemon would count and others wouldn't.

Okay, topic has now joined us at the table.

It occurred to me that if one got a single Vivillon tattoo, though, that the traditional placement for it—being a butterfly—would be the center of the lower back, a la ‘Tramp Stamp’. (Ignore for the moment the misogynist nature of that appellation.)

Anyhow, sometimes I toy with ideas for what to cover it up with. (Topic of thread now appears on distant horizon.)

And I am already way off on a tangent.

Anyhow the semicolon is now widely being used by suicide survivors, and while I don’t hold anything against them, this is distinctly NOT what it means for me, and absolutely not how I would acknowledge any of my own struggles.

The tattoo in question is a semicolon, which has been a writer symbol for a long time & also has nice synergy with programming, which is part of my day job.

I got it (my first ink!) to celebrate the one-year anniversary of sending my first novel off on sub. (It didn’t make it.)

Ok, stick with me here. This’ll be rambling & stupid but will definitely be of interest to at least 2% of you.

So, I have a tattoo that at some point I want to cover up. Not bc I don’t like it, & it remains personally meaningful, but bc the symbol has been co-opted by a mental health movement.
