what is so devastating for yoshida here is that fami, a horseman of the apocalypse, wishes to go to school and indulge in her adolescence, which he—a person whose childhood was taken from—thought was impossible

He's going to walk straight towards his impending doom knowing that he never lived that normal teen boy life that's full of wonder and joy, instead of all of his practiced smiles and lame jokes! He's going to die knowing that his life was miserable from start to finish!! IT'S SO OVER FOR HIM AHAHAHA

What if Denji instinctively rushes to save Yoshida next chapter because he wants to make sure that HE kills him (as revenge for everything Yoshida/Public Safety has done) AND because Yoru said this and Denji still has some humanity in him?

Well if he does survive, I'm very concerned about how Fujimoto is gonna deal with that. Is he secretly a devil? That'd suck and make a lot of old analyses about him and his humanity meaningless now. Would someone take a bullet for him? Is he a fake/clone like Fumiko was in the other chapter? Idk 😭

Logged back on here to see your takes and yeah absolutely agreed I don't think I can handle it if he's permanently gone it'd be such a waste at this current point in the story

This feels like it’s pointed at the viewers as well as denji speaking for himself. When denji gets “sexed up”, a large part of the audience can only see the sexual appeal aspect of it and refuse to examine the underlying circumstances.
