Also, if you have a small comfort item to carry around! When I would start getting overwhelmed in lecture or walking to class I would take out and fidget with a little plushie to calm me down LOL

I think taking a lot of breaks is helpful. A structured technique is the "pomodoro method" where, for every 25-30 min of schoolwork, you take a 5-10 min break. I usually use that time to engage in my interests and it relaxes me :) in class that could mean just going for a bathroom break every 1/2 hr
