puppy’s first event ever!! when i first got there, i was absolutely terrified. i had never seen anything like it before. but once i put my hood on, i felt everything slide into place and had an absolute blast 🐶💙

all of this to say: this has been part of me for longer than i realized and it is really exciting to be able to nurture it freely :)

i had actually brought mine in my backpack one day thinking he'd bring his too and we could make up a story for why we had them on. when i took mine out, he said "dude what? what are you doing with that, what the fuck?" i tried to play it off like i was joking, but the embarrassment lingered

i remember there being an incredulous pause in the conversation. neither of us could believe we found a friend in this niche. we very shyly showed each other our masks, made some comments about finding out where we could find an excuse to wear them.

when i opened the box with my pup gear, the smell of neoprene hit me super hard and brought back an adolescent memory. a friend and i had both separately bought these cheap little neoprene skull masks from hot topic. when we found out we had a matching set, something shifted in our brains
