Working on some new features for @fantasyutd.bsky.social. This is called Timeline! โฐ
A pretty simple concept, but one we havenโt seen done by another fantasy soccer game - a chronological timeline of your teamโs โevents.โ

Other developments for our new tournament formatโฆ ๐

Weโre working hard to build the best possible fantasy soccer platform.
We developed a system for users to release eliminated players! โ
This means users still in the tournament can get budget back to replenish their squad with new signings.
We shifted to 5-a-side teams for the knockout rounds! 5๏ธโฃ
This helps account for the dwindling database of available players as teams are knocked out.
Users still select an 11-a-side team for the First Stage.
Our new format for the CWC incorporated knockout rounds! ๐ฅ
We created a First Stage of four gameweeks from which the top eight tables in the table qualified for the quarter-finals.
First Stage > QF > SF > F

The CWC was a weird tournament, but it gave us such a useful testing environment for @fantasyutd.bsky.social ahead of the World Cup.
Fantasy games always struggle to handle knockout tournaments. Weโre trying to come up with a format that does a better job of that and I think weโre close.

We weren't able to have open testing for the CWC, but we still internally tested a new format designed for knockout tournaments.

Phase 2 of testing is complete!
Feedback from our testers has proved soooooo valuable in surfacing bugs. It has also helped us improve all aspects of the app/game!
Phase 3 will begin soon. Existing testers will be informed when leagues are open.

This update has fixed a number of bugs and issues that should improve the appโs performance and overall experience.
๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐ฒ - To allow for an uneven number of entrants in leagues, we developed Average Joe!
This is a manager-less team that takes its score as an average of the other teams in your league.
We have yet to develop the UI for this, but itโs functioning in Phase 2.
๐ง๐๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐น๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ - We added tutorial slides to certain sections of the app to help new users play.
Weโll continue to add to these. The Rules & Info page also needs improvement.
Weโve made a number of changes in Phase 2 of testing guided by the feedback of our testers!

Feedback from our testers is this is a more flexible way to combat injuries/suspensions.
