A striking illustration of a Turtle Dove in flight, its wings spread wide to showcase their intricate markings of soft browns and greys. The bird glides gracefully over a lush, patchwork landscape of fields, rivers, and villages, bathed in golden sunlight. Rays of light break through a bright blue sky scattered with wispy clouds, symbolising hope and the beauty of nature. The scene captures the Turtle Dove's journey and the rich habitats they need to survive. This artwork highlights the significance of conservation efforts, like Operation Turtle Dove, to ensure these iconic birds have a future.

As part of the Ag Zero+ programme, we are reaching out to farmers to find out what the barriers and enablers are to them adopting net-zero farming practices. The online survey will help us to understand what support is needed.

From today's #DailyNewsDigestπŸ“°: "The trial of the additive, called Bovaer, will take place on around 30 of Arla’s farms across the UK and will provide data on how the innovation works in real life, at scale."

The Scottish Government biodiversity strategy and delivery plan, published today, is an important part of addressing nature’s decline in Scotland.

It is welcome that the Scottish Government is acting, but how this strategy is funded and delivered will determine whether it helps restore nature.

We need a farming system in the UK that puts nature at the heart and rewards farmers for protecting the natural environment. Key to that is ensuring that government creates schemes that reward genuine nature friendly farming, and that these are sufficiently well funded.
