Retirement is amazing! Grandma, proud Minnesotan, campground host, volunteer, traveler, nature-lover, leguminati, and rose-colored glasses optimist, even now.

Maybe it’s a bad idea to put people in charge of government who are eager for the rapture.

As always, follow the $$$.
I wonder when those folks who believe in Trump because of his 'bidness experience' will see that there is only one 'bidness' he really cares about...is own. Their kids, their economic, health, future, etc. don't interest him at all.

I would guess that reaction would depend on how long ago the subject was broached.
Prior to 2015, it might have been 'sure, in connection with health news'.
If it was within Trump 2.0, i would bet the reaction would have been.....' totally within the realm of possibility'.

Crow: "Friday night, Trump filmed this tough video where he talked about the cost of war & how hard it's gonna be & how we're gonna lose troops, then he literally went behind the curtain & hosted a million dollar a plate dinner & dance party at Mar-a-Lago. That tells you everything you need to know"

Think about the power Hegseth is asserting here. He is claiming that the DoD can force all contractors to stop doing business of any kind with arbitrary other companies.
In other words, every operating system vendor, every manufacturer of hardware, every hyperscaler, every type of firm the DoD contracts withβ€”all their services and products can be denied to any economic actor at will by the Secretary of War.
This is obviously a psychotic power grab. It is almost surely illegal, but the message it sends is that the United States Government is a completely unreliable partner for any kind of business. The damage done to our business environment is profound. No amount of deregulatory vibes sent by this administration matters compared to this arson.

Thank you. MN is often overlooked, a 'flyover' state they say. But we actually do care about each other and we don't take kindly to the kind of injustice that the ICEholes tried to perpetrate. I have been buoyed by the grassroots mobilization in Minneapolis and in small towns all around the state!

In less than a year, Trump erased 12 years of solvency for the trust fund that pays for Medicare Part A | Fortune The CBO estimates that benefit reductions would start at 8% in 2040 and steadily climb to a 10% cut by 2056.

Why isn't this a WAY bigger story? Planning to be retired in 2040? Or still alive and on Medicare any time after that? Good luck with your healthcare.
