Damn, you're one of the old guard then 😅 I've been an RD fan pretty much all my life, but didn't make anything for the fandom until now

I always recommend it to my brother like "it's not *that* bad" and he rightfully never believes me haha

I spent way too much time with the manga bcs of work and it got me so desensitized to the impact of the story that I'm always irrationally surprised when people find it really rough, lol. It's great though!

He reaches his arm over three increasingly fresh cartons of milk. "Just... A little... Further..." He touches a mysterious glowing carton with odd symbols on it. POP! His eyes are shut, then open. In a softer watercolour style, he leans up from a grassy hill, observing a beautiful castle kingdom in the distance. "Well, butter my butt and call me a biscuit..." To be continued.

I do recommend the book if you want some fun pilot action à la Top Gun or Ace Combat. It *is* a Warhammer 40k story, but it barely matters and the setting adds just a bit of flavor.

lmao, it's a sci-fi comedy. The novels are fairly short. It's originally a tv show but the books are not just a cashgrab adaptation, they're written by the original authors and are great in their own right. Even if it's primarily humor, they expand on a lot of its concepts in wonderfully fucked up-

If you like sci-fi, The Three-Body Problem trilogy is a real page turner! For horror, House of Leaves has a banging concept (although I'm ambivalent on it for reasons I won't get into, it has a unique vibe) ......I'd also tell you to read the Red Dwarf books, but I'll decide not to be annoying today
