I stopped using Academia a while ago because I didn’t want to pay, yet they had the nerve to ask to verify if I was the author of various engineering articles by someone with the same name; in other words they wanted to charge me AND wanted me to help improve their data for free.

So in the UK there is no such thing as testifying before Parliament? US congress can’t interview everyone in those emails, and Mandelson is more answerable to Brits than the US, where nobody has heard of him.

I’m sorry, this is a non-sequitur, but I hadn’t heard of the RIA before last week, but I had to hunt down an article in the RIA Transactions from 1788 by Richard Kirwan on coal mines- an article referenced by Thomas Jefferson. I managed to find a physical copy at the Library of Congress. Thank you!

A man is sitting at a desk, writing a book with a quill. He is not looking at the page. A godly book, illuminated, is also present in the copperplate print of 1716. The godly message of the flying book is in German and from the Bible: Im Anfang war das Wort Joh:1 v:1". A light beam from the holy book to the yet blank page can also be seen with the words inscribed: β€žDein Wort ist ein Licht auf meinem Wege Ps. 119 v. 105β€œ. So, basically, god is the textual inspiration of the author's work. It looks like he is waiting an artificial hallucination in 1716. The source: https://portraits.hab.de/werk/17512/mirador

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts returns trafficked 6th-century terracotta reliefs to Turkey. 34 of these were purchased in 1978 from Bruce McNall (Summa Galleries) whose reputation was less than stellar. Another 6 were gifted by Harlen J. Berk. Later the same year.

Very good, I’m glad I can help. There is a great deal of 17th- and 18th-century horse veterinary texts with diagrams fir bloodletting and sites of disease that I think have been overlooked and forgotten over the past 100 years.
