A long, thin, tannish, slightly curved cylinder with a carved map scene of parts of Massachusetts.
I keep seeing this outta the corner of my eye and thinking it’s an awesomely-tattooed inner forearm.
It’s not — it’s a powderhorn engraved with “Charlestown” and “Boston”, 1775

So much fuss about office chairs when we have this fine example from mid-18th century France!! 5 legs!!!!! For “greater stability”!! And so that the sitter can “arrange his legs on either side”!!! 🤔🤔

Not only were the British dealing with angry Bostonians in 1775, they were also dealing with angry cows!!
Furious local bovines would barge into the British camp on Boston Common in an effort to reach their ancestral grazing grounds and had to be driving off! 😂
