very mixed! i’m glad i read Fight Club and almost all the Jurassic Park books first. i’m equally glad i watched Wheel of Time and Wuthering Heights 2011 before reading.

yeah talarico seems talented at nailing what to say/when but isn’t firey — she has the demeanor/stance i wish he’d bring but she isn’t great at the what to say game (basically most of politics). and i don’t mean placating, like, mamdani nails the politician speaking talent without.
