the main peek that I can give right now at least is how I imagine the chars would fit in

wrote up notes on the new setting I'm making btu too shy to actually put it out til I clean things up more. it is a modern type of AU with a hidden sci-fi subplot but I'm still working out that part bc stem is not my passion

I've had this idea of cecil being blamed/accused of alois's presumed death and disappearance...anyways I like that combined with the idea of sylas meeting cecil at one point a long time ago through alois. and then meeting him again at the semi-funeral and noticing a shadow constantly following him

alois can see them pretty easily without even doing anything (whether this is a good or bad thing is up for debate), but maybe sylas's songs allow other people to also see/feel them..

I'm thinking something like. by default sylas only kind of vaguely sees/feels their presence as blurry figures but through playing music they become clearer and they can temporarily even speak(?) to them or just understand them intuitively

my bad for being wishy washy like crazy but I got hit with a flash of clarity yesterday and I will go with modern+supernatural setup again (re: alois and sylas being able to see spirits). bc of the nature of music and playing a song together as a form of communication/dialogue...

Idont know if it's a good idea to suddenly double the number of characters in the cast but I lowkey want to create the other members of the ensemble. I kind of envisioned it as a quartet/quintet (mostly quintet but maybe occasionally there are performances where alois would stick to only conducting)
