A treat tonight, flat to myself and thanks to @resident-music.com my Futureheads Decent Days & Nights : The Singles album arrived today. This band mean so much to me and always put a massive smile on my face when I play their music.

I've never heard of them. I'm not sure why, then Robert Smith talked about them, so I investigated. My most played band so far of 2025 God Is An Astronaut. Thanks Robert!!!

I'm starting 2025 with 6,413 days of constant sobriety. Recovery from addiction is possible and my DM's are always open for anyone affected by addiction issues.

Considering 4 years ago, I read may be 4 books the whole year. Just under 3 years ago, I became sober & read probably 25. Last year, I read 80 this year, finished on 64, and the ones in the photo were my last 4 of 2024. I have to say I prefer reading to drinking 😃 😊 😀 .

Well, after my marathon reading session yesterday , it's back to vinyl. I'm listening to my album of the year 2000 - 2004 working backwards....

2000 - Metz
If I were to pick one as my absolute favourite, so far, it would be Metz.

This was my 3rd alcohol free Christmas day, I've now been sober for 1022 days & today (25/12) to take my mind of thinking about alcohol I read, back to back my 61st & 62nd books of 2024. Only took 18 hours 😃.

Three full listens via streaming already, now the physical listen.

Contrary to popular belief recovery from addiction actually has less to do with physical or mental strength and much more to do with acceptance and patience.

Was doing some work on my top 10 albums of 2024 today and also looked at my top 10 albums from my favourite year in music 1984. The Age Of Consent - Bronski Beat was my album of the year.

May I be bold to say your posts, especially during my early stages, were what got me through some very difficult days, I'm 1000 days sober on Tuesday, and your posts on various platforms still help me massively. You have awesome music tastes also.

Michael Kiwanuka has released his 4th album. It's absolutely brilliant , 5 listens already, 4 streamed 1 physical, I love it.

This episode went out 4 years ago yesterday. If you love a laugh and some great stories this is one to dip into.

She was a friend like no other & even though I cry every time I play this episode I'm reminded what an awesome human being she was. Thanks Steve for inviting her

49 years ago today Queen released A Night At The Opera, it was the first record I paid for out of my own money (alas not this copy) it started my near 50 year love of physical music. Thanks Queen.
