There might be some confusion between ‘the pandemic is over’ & ‘covid is over’. The state of political & system-level emergency associated with pandemic spread of a new virus is over but covid is still here. So we must deal with it in our non-emergency systems rather than pretend we’re back in 2019!

Turing was the father of modern computing. His codebreaking helped the Allies to win WWII.
Arrested for being gay, he chose chemical castration over a prison sentence. He lost his security clearance, as all homosexuals were deemed a risk.

Tonight is the eve of Eid al-Adha which is colloquially called the Big Eid. The ‘small’ one being the one that follows Ramadan (Eid al-Fitr). Thinking of the poor, hungry and terrified on this night. Those who can’t celebrate.
