I wish I wrote both these movies. Not JUST cuz of Dakota... but also cuz I have notes. 1. Materialists needed to address the timeframe in which it took place, cuz things def seemed rush. 2. Alison Brie's character should've been Black. Not cuz "diversity." It would've given more depth to character.

When 'Now Cult Beloved Movie Starring Women' arrived in theaters on any day in the late '90s/early '00s, many [middle-aged, white... and you know, straight male] critics wrote it off as a lesser 'Literally Insert Any Comparable Male-Led Movie Here... It Doesn't Have To Be Good... Soul Man!'... etc.
