Rejection can be final or it can become an opportunity to gather data so you can figure out what to improve on.

A lot of us feel the exact same way from time to time, and just because you feel that way doesn't mean your feelings are telling you the truth 🫶🏾

Just popping in to say that if you have days when you feel like you don't know what you're doing, where you feel like an impostor or like you're not the expert your clients say you are, then that's pretty normal.

One word I struggle to spell correctly every single time is tragedy. I want to write tradegy every single time.

I wonder if what's happening with Duolingo right now is them prepping us for a rebrand 🤔

Trends come and go, but a community-driven brand built on integrity and genuine connection will always be in demand.

I'd rather redirect that energy towards what's within my control.

Last year I told myself I wouldn't be anxious about things I can't control.

This year I'm carrying that over. I always give myself a window to complain and be angry & upset about stuff, but constantly spiraling in despair and anxiety over things outside of my control feels like a dead end for me.

My only complaint about ads is that they don't change. Cause after 6 months why am I still seeing the same ad? 🫠

Diversify. Give me something different every week.

It's so much easier to speak to a group you get.

Whether it's introverts, moms, or people in corporate roles, when you've walked in their shoes, you get their unique struggles.

And that makes your messaging even more powerful.

It took me almost three years to feel comfortable positioning myself as a brand strategist & designer specifically for introverted & highly sensitive women

At first, I tried to cater to all female entrepreneurs, afraid of turning anyone away or losing potential clients. But here's the thing:

So what if you choose a new niche and it alienates some of the people who currently follow you?

This is a common fear if you rebrand or decide to change your messaging.

Basically, when we get on these platforms and start fighting with each other, that engagement actually generates revenue for the social media companies and the creators.

In fact some creators intentionally make hateful content to make more money.

And this has shifted how I see & use social media

One of the best documentaries I've ever watched to date on Netflix was The Social Dilemma.

What has always stuck with me is learning about how social media companies make money off our rage.

They just genuinely like you and want to talk to you just because.

I can't describe the freedom that brings in the relationship, especially considering how we're almost taught that every business connection has to lead somewhere.

One of the best things in the world is having genuine connections with other business owners and knowing if you never buy from them nothing will change.

They're not being nice and talking to you in the hopes you'll become a client one day...

So if the only way people can buy something or get deeper into your world(eg: by getting a freebie) is by having to speak up or engage publicly, then you're most likely pushing these silent buyers away.

There are a lot of silent buyers online who will lurk and quietly observe you before they make a decision to buy.

Silent buyers stay silent because they don't want to be pressured into a sale.

Give yourself permission to either try again or pivot cause those numbers are only visible to you, and your mind is making up stories to convince you that this thing that didn't go as planned is somehow on display for the whole world to see.

Sometimes when our content doesn't perform well or our launch doesn't go well we get in our heads and think "Everyone noticed and they probably think I'm lame".

But I promise you that people usually don't notice.

...break it up into different slides.

This actually carries over into blogging too.

When you write blogs, you want to break up your paragraphs using headings and images because that makes it easier for people to digest the content.

It makes it way more likely they'll read all the way through.

04.02.2025 16:47 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

The reason for this is because a lot of times when people see a big paragraph with lots of words, it can actually be overwhelming to the eye and makes them not want to read more.

They're less likely to get to the end of your carousel or finish your story.

To make it more digestible..

Here's a super helpful design tip for Instagram, LinkedIn and anywhere you create carousels:

When you're making carousels or creating stories & you have a lot to say, break up your ideas into different slides instead of putting alot of text on one slide.

And seeing people this month leave their 9-5s to start their own businesses? It’s proof that even in uncertain times, hope is still alive and instead of leaning into despair, you can choose to lean into hope.

I read an article that said half of all Fortune 500 companies were created during a recession or economic crisis.

That means even when life is life-ing and everything feels crazy, there are still people who dream, hope, and work to make those dreams real.

Which to me sounded like "work with me or be a loser forever 😒"

It gave me such a major ick that I couldn't do it and I'm glad I never did.

When I was learning about marketing & websites, there was someone who taught people to add a section at the end of their services or sales page that sounds something like:

"If you don't work with me then this is how you'll continue to suffer and this is everything you'll lose."

It's better to start on your rebrand or website redesign now and have it take you the whole year then to wait for a perfect time only to end this year with a brand and website you don't like.

1 hour a week will get you so far in a year.
