i’m sorry that happens. that sucks. the way being public increases our accessibility is always a very real vulnerability. i do think about that a lot.

A seed bursts open and grows out of the O in JOY as well, blossoming into a flower above ground while simultaneously spreading it’s roots. There are four more seeds sprouting and going through the germination process all around it.

A few of my more political digital ink illustrations over the last few years. I have previously made a few of these available as coloring book pages as well as open to free use for protests, distributing, and wheat pasting. I may do so again soon. I will be sure to link to the files here when I do.

oh hai. realized i had finished inking this piece sometime ago and never added it online here as i immediately got starting on the tonal flats stage for color which is still a wip. this was drawn a little over a year ago to boost a vigil that didn’t end up happening because group infighting.

i’m just gonna keep sketching poses and other gathered photo reference of animals and flowers and landscapes until i figure out what direction i want to go in

It's that giving time of year again, so this is a reminder that no matter how they try to dress it up, the Salvation Army is not a charity.

studio folks already have very little to worry about. i’ve been without glasses for almost a year now. if they do attend the talk i won’t even be able to see or recognize them unless we’re up close and personal so if they leave me alone we’ll all be fine

i wish the bookstore sold popcorn.

if i had to describe my mood today tho, despite painful period cramps, it would be “bemused”. i sure ain’t bothered.. just along for the ride today, come what may.

i is in pain but lunch with the Quakers was good and i still has a free cookie that was given to me earlier while vending.

considering i am having heavy period cramps i might get a weed gummy to help with pain levels today which will at least also make me super chilled out at the talk tonight. still have plenty for a book, maybe both books and a cup of tea… we’ll see 👀

i made $50 (+venmo donations although unsure of the amount there and won’t know until friday) in three hours selling twenty papers this morning all before lunch 🥳

When I emailed Wilson’s office with my concerns in October, they responded with boilerplate talking points that suggested I was wrong to question how they are failing to provide the services people actually need and want.

These shelters are not providing adequate food, disrespecting trans folks, failing to treat residents in need, and potentially erecting more barriers to finding housing.

i’m most certainly petty but i punch up

someone handed me a massive tempeh breakfast burrito 😭🌯💖 so i got a drip coffee with money left on the giftcard and took a meal break. it was so damn good but i couldn’t even finish it. leftovers are in the bag. was gonna listen to the news but ended up just sitting with the city sounds for a bit.

oh! and i wrote three morning pages at a cafe after i got breakfast with a gift card this morning. i do still need to get back to a comrade who offered a free professional massage session. that was/is my therapy homework.

i sure as hell know political repression when i see it.

dude i’m seeing knows as i was texting him through it and then i apologized for my immaturity with getting drunk and ruining the studio heads dinner party but he understood too and told me there was no need for apologies. he understood the need for closure even if we don’t often get that in life.

my therapist and i have an awesome rapport as well and he just called me. he knows. i told him the piss story and he understands the concept of guerilla street theater. i got the catharsis i need even if closure isn’t a reality.

i literally just found a higher wage spot for work, my relationship with a new dude i’ve been seeing for a couple months is going really well, i have a photography show coming up and we’re working on prints for saturday market next. i have so much support, friends i see on a regular basis who know.
