You weren't in the minority.
Oh, which reminds me on the subject of shows which should be watched, @sturdyalex.bsky.social if you haven't seen every single episode ever made, ensure you watch all of Columbo except those with Patrick McGoohan in, because he ruined it any time he was on screen.

The section with Terminus and where Rick told Gareth how he was going to kill him, was amazing.
The Red Machete Diary (I think it was called) was also brilliant, as was the YouTube Bicycle Girl and Rick Hospital online shorts.
(I *quite like* zombie content...)

Personally I couldn't manage Z Nation as it was too nod and a wink zombie, rather than "shit got real" zombie.
The final serieseses where Angela Kang took over from Scott Gimple, were up there with the best of them, or maybe better.

July 2022 Ant was livid as he locked in his mortgage for 7 years, having to pay Β£150/month more for the same thing.
Little did he know that if he thought that was bad news, things would get worse when the surprise US trip for his wife's 40th went ahead in late September after Truss' mini-budget...

All of the negativity is very much in the vein of βchildren need to be taught to hateβ.
If this doesnβt occur, all you see is two happy people in a loving relationship.

I remember seeing something on a programme like Windmill with Chris Searle about how men could get married in Holland and thought βcool, you can marry your best friend.β.
This was pre-secondary school in the 90s, so the next commentary on same-sex relationships was the casual homophobia π

The history of the Bren (as with a number of other firearms of the mid-20th century) is a fascinating blend of talents and sharing from clever people in Europe working with us Brits, with BrEn actually being a portmanteau in exactly that fashion.
Europe, eh? What have they ever done for usβ¦? π

Austria is lovely. Before we had kids (although technically we had a 13 month old with us, but thatβs not the same) my wife and I did the locations in and around Salzburg where The Sound of Music was filmed.
Have a wonderful time!

Can I suggest either Jonathan Ferguson or Ian McCollumβs piece on the Bren, where itβs suggested the accuracy thing isnβt backed up by actual data, only anecdote. I also believe this film is mentioned.
The Bren fires from an open bolt, so is unlikely to be more accurate than a regular rifle.

Alt: a blonde woman is sitting in a kitchen with the words `` sure , jan. '' written on the screen .
The envious location I have in life is that I see all of this stuff come and go, with this being my typical opinion as I see it cresting the horizon and coming towards me:

Brad Pitt is in his 60s.
I'd like to look like that in my 60s, but I won't.
My most* fun fact: Brad Pitt is older than Nigel Farage.
*yeah, none of them are that fun.
