since my grandpa's passing, it's been taking care of my grandma 24/7, grad school 24/7, but today i got to play a game with my friends for the first time since his death and it felt good to feel like myself again 🥲

my mom has done everything she could so that i'm not feeling alone with this, but since they're not her grandparents and my dad's wife hates her for some reason (insecurity) and my dad refuses to speak to her, it's really fucking hard because he wants to be "in charge" but does little to nothing

anyone else's great grandparents loved you like you were their own child, helped your mom raise you, just for them to write you in their will, and make their family disown them because of jealousy, leaving you snd your dad to care for them (who secretly is also jealous of you) i can't make this up
