If you have been waiting to pick up a new mug or one for the first time, a new batch has been added to my shop (link in profile). Limited colors and quantities, and I will be honest, I do not anticipate another mug drop before the end of the year.

I work with soft slabs. And this slab was pretty soft.

Oh that would be cool! I’m hoping to get some cool variations in the glaze I’ll be using. I’ll have to experiment to get some “sparkle”

I’m taking the Raku workshop and thought a teapot would be fun. When I make a teapot, I think of one of my first instructors. I said I wanted to make teapot and he told me it was only for the experienced. Don’t let anyone tell you you can’t do something. I ignored him and made a teapot my first week

First batch of handmade tiles out of the kiln and I couldn’t be happier! Minimal warping, good glaze coating…these are going to look great as a backsplash in my studio.

I can’t remember what colors I have up there right now. I go through them quickly.

No mud, No lotus.
While it’s not the most glamorous of studio tasks, there is something satisfying about reclaiming unfired clay experiments and bits to make something new. I am using reclaimed clay for the majority of my tiles.
